Hollywood Joe always gets bitten by the fashion bug during Awards Season. It’s so much fun to get swooped up in the glamorous looks of the stars, thanks to bevy of red carpet events that take place on Hollywood Blvd. just down the street from Hollywood Wax Museum. We love starting off the New Year on the right pair of stilettos!
Despite having to wait another year for the next round of prestigious award ceremonies for our fashion fix, many celebs have come to our rescue by creating their own fashion lines. Here are some of our favs:
While most may remember Jessica Simpson from her music career, reality show with 
then-husband Nick Lache, or her Daisy Duke days, these days she’s a fashion entrepreneur to be reckoned with! Her self-titled Jessica Simpson line includes everything from lingerie to maternity wear, and her combined retail empire is expected to become the first celebrity brand to achieve over $1 billion in annual sales. Her apparel and accessories can be scooped up in a variety of department stores. We bet people are no longer doubting this blonde bombshell, who once infamously questioned if Tuna was Chicken or Fish.
Another fashion line that’s found solid ground is LC for Lauren Conrad , which can be found at Kohl’s. Originally debuting with a shaky reception at Nordstrom, the reality TV star turned fashion designer realized she needed to make her clothes, sunglasses, jewelry and more available to her young fans. The switch has proved to be successful as her line continues to flourish. Recently we caught wind of a great interview Lauren gave when she was put on the spot with a very awkward question. After being asked, “What’s your favorite position?” she replied, without missing a beat, “CEO.” Now there’s an attitude we can stand behind!
And it appears we’re not the only ones. Lauren’s popularity has landed her covers on top fashion magazines such as Lucky, Marie Claire, and StyleWatch, and her 2012 Glamour Cover was the highest selling issue of the year with nearly 500,000 copies sold.
Hollywood Joe can’t leave out Jay-Z’s immensely successful Rocawear, which has been on the scene since 1999. The new Brooklyn’s Own collection is a tribute to his stomping grounds and gives a fresh perspective to the area’s monumental locations. His hip-hop inspired jeans, hoodies, sneakers, and more can be found in department stores, specialty stores and, soon, on his revamped website shop.
Of course, these are just a few of the many celebrity lines to enjoy! We’re looking forward to the spring release of 16 dresses from the new partnership between Tommy Hilfiger and Zooey Deschanel. And, we already love Sarah Jessica Parker’s recently-debuted SJP Collection at Nordstrom. Right now, you can Pin to Win a shoe wardrobe from her collection worth $2,000!
